Energy-neutral, durability and comfort

Thanks to a special calculation and simulation computer model, we can optimally balance your home during the design phase so that once it’s completed, it will sit level and stable on the water. Balance d'eau homes have a very low center of gravity which creates unprecedented stability and thus increases living comfort (during stormy weather conditions).

Due to the high insulation value of the floating body, it is nice and cool in the summer and easy to heat during the winter.  The facades of the building system are highly insulated with an Rc +7.0,  well above the current building code requirements of Rc 4.5. As a result, the indoor climate of our homes is comfortable and energy consumption is very low or even neutral.   An energy-neutral home is possible with just a few adjustments. Heating and cooling will be provided by heat exchangers located in the water and electricity is generated by solar panels that work even during cloudy days.
