Due to the lightweight construction of the Balance d'eau building system, it is possible to determine the draft of the house yourself, which means that shallow water can also be used for multiple purposes. Investments in deepening and flood control measures on location can be minimized as a result. The development of our floating homes in urban areas, with limited space for the construction site, is also perfectly possible. By means of our innovative hydraulic platform we can create a construction site on the water.

Living on water in floodplains, canals, closed lakes or sand quarries is entirely possible, creating opportunities for municipalities and landowners to generate significant value for previously unusable real estate.

Together with state and local authorities, Balance d'eau is investigating the application of floating construction in peat meadow areas with subsidence problems to keep the management and maintenance costs of the infrastructure as low as possible.
